Gdynia Business Week

I had the opportunity to catch up with the students at Gdynia Business Week (Poland) this past August. Ninety students from Poland and ten American students participated in a fast paced week of international business! They formed ‘companies’; had to create a business plan; make a stockholders presentation; participate in a trade show to find capital to run their business and graduate with honors! Students actually met with local Polish businessmen and women including Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Union. The Mayor of Gdynia also made an appearance.

It is exciting for me to be part of the Seattle Gdynia Sister City organization that believes in promoting good will between Seattle and Gdynia and watch programs such as this grow each year. Feel free to look through the images captured during the week:

High School Seniors

girly girl vs tomboy

Sammi has walked by  my studio for the past 9 years; always with a smile; always with wise words of wisdom for a now 17 year old! So I offered to take her senior pics and boy did we have fun! Whether she is a ‘girly-girl’ or a tomboy is yet to be determined but she had fun in front of the camera and certainly kept me entertained and excited about the session. Here’s a little peek at her pics!

Bellingham or bust

I spent a little time in Bellingham this past weekend and decided to play with my new Lensbaby again. Like I said before, NO, I was not drunk! The images are shallow in focus and just plain funky. Did you know that Bellingham is one of the top 5 places in the US to retire? It could be a fun place to live with lots of old buildings housing new businesses. And of course, their exciting farmers market.

’67 Buick Wildcat

And it’s FOR SALE!

For Sale 1967 Buick Wildcat

I love to photograph cars so when my friend asked if I could take some pics of her dad’s car I said YES!

And what a beauty she is: ’67 Buick Wildcat 4-Door Hardtop.
Growing up I learned to drive my dad’s 65 Chevy Impala followed by a 67 Pontiac so this ‘big’ baby brought back memories. Cruisin down the road at 70 miles per hour and not worrying about the 12 miles per gallon which at the time was 24 cents a gallon. Am I dating myself or what?!
Anyway, YOU could look just as cool and carefree in this Wildcat. If you are interested just let us know!
