Love at the Needle

My good friend Yoko called to ask if I would be available to photograph her friends wedding at the top of the Space Needle. I just had to say YES! What fun it was surrounded by strangers who watched in awe at the marriage of Brian and Gary (performed by Elaine) 605′ in the sky!  We took in the views and then headed to Tilikum Place Cafe for their wedding brunch.  Congratulations!

James and Brandy

I will be photographing James and Brandy’s wedding in a couple of weeks. We met up at Alki to do some fun engagement type photos of the two of them. They are a quiet but fun loving couple and I can’t wait for their big day!

Hannalie’s Senior Session

A friend suggested Hannalie call me for her senior portraits since she no longer lives in the area. It was fun to finally put a name to a face and family I had heard about regularly. We had a wonderfully warm but slightly overcast afternoon for our romp thru the park. Hannalie attends Emerald Ridge High in Puyallup. Here are some of my favorites…

Jordan’s Senior Session

Jordan was pretty laid back as we wandered thru the park for his senior session. We swung by the baseball field and got some nice shots there before hitting the trail and seeking out unusual spots. To top off the shoot mom spotted an eagle guarding her nest. It was a great day for a shoot!

Cindy & Dee tie the knot

Cindy and Dee were a delight! They flew in from Florida to ‘tie the knot’ here in Seattle. They chose the Arborteum because Dee LOVES flowers. The Arboretum was bursting with color which they thoroughly enjoyed.  We chose a quiet spot for the nuptials and then traversed the grounds (before the rains came) stopping here and there to capture images. By the time we got to our cars the rain was here to stay. I met up with the charming couple again at the Edgewater to capture more of that Northwest flair. All in all it was a lovely ceremony. Congratulations!

Happy Birthday, Judy!

ArtsWest Hair

Judy was surrounded by 100 of her closest friends as she celebrated her 65th birthday at the opening of “Hair” at ArtsWest.  While celebrating she also raised money for the theater. Performers were thrilled with the full house and gave an outstanding performance. Judy was pulled to the stage for the closing number and the audience applauded and danced.  Happy Birthday, Judy. Raising money for Crohn’s & Colitis

On Thursday, April 24th hundreds of guests arrived at Olive 8 for the 2014 Annual Benefit Luncheon for Crohn’s & Colitis. Sandra Kim, MD presented a lively presentation on PROKIDS – discussing research and results of studies with young children with the disease. Tony Ventrella was engaging as he shared wit and widsom on living with challenging conditions no matter what the age. Mike and Ashley McCready presented the 2014 McCready Family Award to Lisa and Norm Judah; outstanding volunteers who are dedicated to helping others living with chronic illness.

I myself would like to thank CCFA for their work in the Seattle area.

Spa Day full of surprises!

Spa Day at the Senior Center of West Seattle was full of surprises including charming goodie bags for everyone to take home.  Guests could sign up for a main/pedi by Washington Beauty School, hair trim by CoCo & Co., and massage by LaVida.  Then for some fun you could have your palms read or your astrology sign charted.  I myself enjoyed the facial by The Beauty Bar, a reiki session by West Seattle Healing Tree and had my handwriting analyzed.

The event was a fundraiser for The Center. To view the fun click here.
