This year’s Holy Rosary auction was “80s Prom.” Guests paraded in front of the camera for their ‘prom’ photo, dined on great food, bid on great items and danced to music from the 80s. All good fun … remember “Pretty in Pink”? Cyndi Lauper? The Bangles?

Happy Easter!
Hope you all are enjoying the day. We headed to the tulip fields yesterday based on the weather conditions and had a lovely day. First stop was Mt. Vernon for the annual Kiwanis BBQ Salmon Dinner – YUM! Then we headed for the fields. Even tho the daffodils had reached their peak the tulips weren’t ready to bud we did find plenty to see. One of my favorite spots is Christianson’s Nursery. There is always something great to photograph!

The look of Pendleton
Mom called in a panic…do we have time to meet the yearbook deadline? Of course! I met up with Emily at Lincoln Park. Again, shooting in November is always a challenge but we managed to squeak in a great session before the rain began. Emily had gotten all sorts of advice from her model friends on how to pose… yet her natural stance, willing attitude and natural beauty came shining through. She was an easy subject for my philosophy on shooting…simple, honest, real.
And remember, it’s never too late for senior portraits.
Family time
The Anawalts call every year for the annual holiday photo. Capturing images at this time of year is always weather dependent but the crisp early morning air and sun breaks all worked in our favor. Traversing the property we found lots of interesting areas for the pics. We go through our ritual of groupings including mom and dad, mom with the girls, dad with the girls and the family all together.
Remember, it’s always a great time to capture family images….

Fall is for seniors!
I love it when high school seniors know what they want. Ci had some definite ideas on location and clothing as we headed to Discovery Park. With interesting trees to climb, fall colors, and beautiful fields we hit the jackpot! Take a look….

By Stanley For Stanley
The Seattle Polish Film Festival presented this compelling documentary that follows the developing friendship of a young boy and an artist both of whom are disabled in the same way. The artist is older, wiser, and lived a life already filled with obstacles for which he has found solutions or simply devised a state of mind to deal with the lack of arms. Only going to prove that if someone is determined, goals can be reached despite disabilities.
Director, Monika Melen was present and spent close to 30 minutes answering questions before a crowd of 40 guests. Click here for photos.
Film festival guests Monika Melen and Maciej Sobieszczanski were both on hand and will continue to be throughout the Seattle Polish Film Festival which runs thru October 29, 2017.
