What a pleasure photographing the Hope Lutheran School Annual Auction. The theme was based on the Great Gatsby and with some green screen magic I placed them in the heart of Chicago’s roaring 20s. The guests did some wild bidding on terrific auction items while dining. Congratulations on a successful event! Guests can view all the images by clicking here.

Spring Bazaar at Polish Home
It’s that time of year – time for the annual Spring Bazaar at the Polish Home on Capitol Hill. ‘Art therapy’ has paid off! We’ve created some exciting “Dictionary Art” from old dictionaries in both English and Polish! Matted and ready to frame, they make delightful gifts for anyone. You’ll also find Pierogi Soap in Lilac, Rosewood, Rosemary with lemongrass, Tea Tree, and of course, Lavender. Plus the cute little matchbooks with a surprise inside and our cork ornaments.
The Bazaar is Saturday, March 19 from Noon-6pm. Come by early and have a plate of pierogi and a piwo (beer); then join me upstairs for a room full of wonderful arts and crafts!
1714 18th Ave just off Madison on Capitol Hill. See you there!
Holy Rosary welcomes grandparents & special friends
Holy Rosary School was filled with love today; grandparents and special friends of the students were invited to an afternoon of sharing. There was a musical performance given by the students as guests enjoyed a light lunch. Afterwards students showed off their artwork and classrooms as well as attending the book fair. They also had the opportunity to have their photo taken. What a lovely memento of the day! Here’s a sampling:
In search of Eagles
It was a cool and misty day as we headed north to the Skagit Valley in search of the majestic eagle. Waters ran high but we managed to find an older eagle resting above a pond just off the shoulder of the road. He seemed to know we were watching and ‘posed’ as if on cue. We also found majestic vistas worth a shot or two.
Holiday lights
We decided to search the eastside this year for holiday lights. Snowflake Lane in Bellevue was a hit with 12 drummers drumming, plenty of dancers and of course SNOW! In Kirkland we found the Hawk House complete with walk thru displays and a unique Santa with a specially designed 12th Man Robe. Then on to Woodinville and Issaquah for a couple of delightful childlike displays. Thank you to those who took the time to create these magical displays. Happy holidays.
Ho, ho, ho at Homestreet Bank
It was a fun time for all children, young and old, who stopped by West Seattle’s Homestreet Bank for their annual food drive and Santa Photos! I think West Seattle has the cutest kids! Merry Christmas, West Seattle!
Oh baby, it’s chilly outside!
When it’s time to do a family photo it’s time, no matter what the weather! It was sunny, brite, and chilly but we got the shots! Toward the end the boys started doing their own thing. Of course, those are the best! I photographed mom and dad at one or two school auctions several years ago. I’m glad I finally got the chance to work with all of them!
Thru the raindrops
It’s that time of year for last minute senior yearbook photos. Yup, I can still make it happen for you. Neve came by this afternoon after shuffling her schedule and mine only to find the rains coming – what to do?! Quick, we can do it…and we did, right in my yard! It was the fastest session yet and yielded some great images perfect for the yearbook. We’ll get together again in April or May for more clothing changes and background options; hopefully with some better weather.
