Carrie’s Senior Session

Carrie will graduate from Holy Names. We met up at Lincoln Park. She spent much of her childhood playing on the slides and swings so she was right at home. Her easy going smile  made for some great shots. Mother nature provided soft overhead light and gentle breezes.

Ol’ blue eyes

Brannden has the most intense blue eyes so shooting in the late evening on Alki certainly enhanced them. While he goes to school in Kirkland he also spends time over in West Seattle. He loves the water and participates in sports like basketball and tennis.

Lily’s Senior Photos

Rain forced us to wait until later in the day to shoot Lily’s senior session. I love shooting at the gardens at the community college. Every time I walk through I find a new location or angle from which to capure images. Lily was a dream to work with. Her tanned skin was captured beautifully in the soft overcast light. Lily goes to Kennedy High in Burien and graduates in early June.

Eric’s Senior Session

I met up with Eric for a walk through the gardens at South Seattle Community College this past weekend. Overcast and clouds provided smooth lighting for our session. I always love it when the guys pick out their favorite outfits. He was just tough enough to pull off the “James Dean” look of white T-shirt and jeans. We added red shoes for flair later on and then turned to a more classic look of  V-neck sweater with a jacket. All in all I think we captured his senior persona just fine.

Fun in Georgetown

I love the wild child senior portrait! Kati was the perfect subject for the Georgetown area.  She brought a van full of outfits and we wandered the area while mom played taxi driver for us.  We found lots of interesting architecture, trucks and a vintage trailer shopping mall!

Bryce’s casual side

Bryce is the last of the Morgan boys to pass through the halls of West Seattle High.  Active in sports he plans to attend a community college and explore his options for the future.  If he’s anything like his brothers there will be an exciting future in store for him. I’m thrilled that I’ve been able to photograph all three boys and capture their family portraits over the years.

Maddy’s walk through Lincoln Park

We bumped up Maddy’s session due to forthcoming rain and the day was well chosen. The soft light highlighted her features just perfectly.  Dressed casually we wandered through the park and then headed to the water. Maddy plans to pursue a degree in nursing.  She’s got the perfect smile and manner so she is well on her way.

Fightin Nick

Nick is an interesting character. He goes to West Seattle High where he participates in wrestling. He didn’t bring his fightin’ gear;  instead he was dressed very casually.  We stuck close to the studio and did some portraits inside and then headed outdoors.  The cool grey and black walls made for interesting photos. This cool cat will work toward a nursing degree.

Zoe loves her sports

Zoe came in for her senior photos the other day. Mom ‘thought’ a studio session was in order but once I took a look at Zoe’s wardrobe and found out more about her outside seemed the place to go.  We did capture a few images in studio which are nice but the ones of her with her basketball seemed to come alive.  There’s a rarely used hoop just outside my door and I decided to have her shoot a few.  Then we headed down to the park and water for some softer compositions.

Vashon Senior

Christopher caught the ferry to the Fauntleroy dock and headed on over to the studio. We went with ‘plan B’ and hung out in the alley after seeing his clothing choices.  Mom was tickled to death when she arrive and found him in jeans, striped shirt and red tie and green sneakers!  What a combo but it worked well for his senior moment!
