There’s nothing like creating your own holiday traditions…even for Halloween! I met Cassie and her mom several years ago and have had the privilege of photographing her in her Halloween costume as well as creating her annual Christmas photo!

I don’t know how anyone can resist these blonde hair & blue eyes. Say hello to Saoirse Ronan Lawlor. His mom purchased a gift certificate from one of the local auctions so we just had to do some fun outdoor stuff. Saoirse loves the water and was more than delighted to have his photo taken down by the anchor on Alki. It was exceptionally hot that day so when I suggested he take his shoes off and run through the surf he didn’t hesitate!
A client of mine asked if I had any ideas on entertaining her nephew while he was in town. He likes art of all sorts of art so I said I could help by providing some photo assignments. When I found out he loved graffiti I had to go along so we agreed to meet in Georgetown starting at Stellar Pizza for lunch. He told me has was busy taking metal working class in the mornings and was making a bike! How ambitious. We ate our pizza and headed on down the road. I thought it would be fun if we both shot with our simple point and shoot cameras (so as not to say one was better cuz the camera was bigger!) We shot side by side throughout Georgetown …. Once again, Ms. Stephanie asked me to photograph her preschool classes for posterity. This time I was gently bombarded by bean bags, chased the kids around the play yard with my camera and finally attempted to take the class photos. I think we did just fine; afterall, kids will be kids.
First comes loves, then comes marriage, then comes Sabine in a baby carriage! I photographed Kate & Amit’s wedding a couple of years ago. I was so happy when they called to say they had a new member of the family….little Sabine. What a beautiful name…for a beautiful baby. Here’s our first session together. We’ve already got the next one planned with her and Joey – the family dog! Can’t wait.
This was the first time mom had taken the kids for ‘professional’ photos; she was pleasantly surprised at how well the kids took to the situation. We placed them in the big orange chair and let them just have fun. There were giggles and grins and mile wide! But my favorite part was when mom was getting Lucy into her car seat and Jesse sat down to have a little snack….”Want some?”
Willa and her sister walk by my studio at least 2-3 times a day! Always off on some exciting adventure. I knew that sooner or later I would get to photograph the cute redheads. And as a bonus I got to meet their cousins Jack and Ryan too! We put off the session once due to weather but this time decided we’d just do it! We all had fun in the fog…take a look.
Mom called because the weatherman said it would be warm and overcast – the perfect day for a family portrait. Instead we got warm, windy and sunny! But we all persevered and got some darling images of the twins with their new baby sister who’s only 2 months old.
Katie wanted some photos of Edie as she celebrates her first year. We met at the beach and did some images of Edie exploring her surroundings, playing with dad and then some family pics too! Cute..don’t ya think…

Alicia wanted an artistic, dramatic approach for her pregnancy portrait. All black, high contrast did the trick! And just in the nick of time, the baby is due any moment!
