How many Pierogi can you eat?

This year’s Pierogi Festival was a first of it’s kind for Dom Polski.  Dancing, singing and eating took to the streets as the parking lot was turned into a staging area for wonderful performances by the Polonez dance troupe from Vancouver BC; Seattle’s own Polish Choir – Vivat Musica and Mlodzi Polanie youth group; plus White Eagle folk group  from Victoria BC.  This year there was all you could eat Pierogi plus potato pancakes (my favorite!), stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and bigos.  Guests could dine in the polish hall or sit outside and listen and dance to the fine entertainment.  For those who worked up a thirst the Beer Garden was a major attraction. The weather was just perfect for this wonderful Polish cultural event.  To view all the images just click here.

Andrzejki

Who knew that the St. Andrew’s Day celebration at the Polish Home in Seattle would be so much fun!  The evening started with cocktails and led into party music by DJ Filip. Russian born “Slava” performed with his haunting voice and skillful guitar playing. Not to be outdone, exotic belly dancer Nadira danced for her audience with passion and grace.  The evening continued with more music by DJ Filip.
