We bumped up Maddy’s session due to forthcoming rain and the day was well chosen. The soft light highlighted her features just perfectly. Dressed casually we wandered through the park and then headed to the water. Maddy plans to pursue a degree in nursing. She’s got the perfect smile and manner so she is well on her way.

Fightin Nick
Nick is an interesting character. He goes to West Seattle High where he participates in wrestling. He didn’t bring his fightin’ gear; instead he was dressed very casually. We stuck close to the studio and did some portraits inside and then headed outdoors. The cool grey and black walls made for interesting photos. This cool cat will work toward a nursing degree.
Zoe loves her sports
Zoe came in for her senior photos the other day. Mom ‘thought’ a studio session was in order but once I took a look at Zoe’s wardrobe and found out more about her outside seemed the place to go. We did capture a few images in studio which are nice but the ones of her with her basketball seemed to come alive. There’s a rarely used hoop just outside my door and I decided to have her shoot a few. Then we headed down to the park and water for some softer compositions.
Vashon Senior
Christopher caught the ferry to the Fauntleroy dock and headed on over to the studio. We went with ‘plan B’ and hung out in the alley after seeing his clothing choices. Mom was tickled to death when she arrive and found him in jeans, striped shirt and red tie and green sneakers! What a combo but it worked well for his senior moment!
Maddie’s Senior Session
I love photographing high school seniors. Maddie, her mom and I caught up with each other at the gardens on campus in West Seattle and found the perfect backdrops for her photos. Mom thought it was great working outdoors especially since Maddie is more of an outdoorsey kinda gal and into sports like volleyball. Here are some of my favorites. Don’t forget – it’s never too late or too early for senior pics!
Camara
Senior girls are so much fun. We managed to create three different looks out of one outfit. Camara had a tight schedule so we roamed the arboretum. Even though the skies were overcast and it was a little chilly we got some great images for her senior photos. It’s Seattle, what can we say…other than look at those beautiful eyes!
Clara
The Merlino family decided to have a family portrait taken at the same time as we did Clara’s senior photos. While the morning was gray and rainy the afternoon turned out beautiful as we headed over to the arboretum at SSCC. An easy-going group, we worked quickly to catch as much late afternoon sun as possible. Here’s a peek at Clara’s senior photos.
“94”
For some reason guys tend to not want to have senior photos taken. So Rian’s mom was getting the family together for a long overdue family photo and we snuck in those senior photos of Rian. Rian goes by the nickname “94”; you’ll have to ask him how that all came about! Everyone gathered at the arboretum where we had a fun time walking the grounds.
Allie’s senior pics
It’s never too late for senior portraits. Allie was a delight to photograph. Her easy smile made my job so easy! We traversed Lincoln Park from top to bottom along with the Jess and mom. Click here for Allie’s Video!
Alex takes time for his senior pics
Alex was a natural in front of the camera. With a nice easy smile we worked the alleyway and did some nice studio headshots.
Remember, it’s never too early or too late for senior pics.
