Seattle Polish Film Festival
I have been involved with the Seattle Polish Film Festival since 2001. Together with my sister we produced the Festival program book through 2006. I have served as ‘Official Photographer’ since 2000 capturing the festivities, meeting Polish actors and directors. I have traveled to Gdynia, Poland for the Polish ‘Academy Awards’! While there I have viewed first run films, met actors, photographed events and just had a darn good time!

2007 Polish Film Festival in America-Seattle
In 2005 several of us “cinema lovers” visited Gdynia to attend the 30th Polish Film Festival. An exhibit was created by Ewa & Krzysztof Poraj-Kuczewski that included my images captured at that event. It is a collection that captures the filmmakers in formal and informal situations, everyday festival activities, and the beauty of Gdynia. If you would like to purchase a book copy please let us know. Cost is $55 with proceeds going to the Seattle Polish Film Festival.

Kate’s Easter Coat
I’ve been taking Kate’s pics for the last 3-4 years now. She’s always shy at first but when she warms up – look out! She’s showing off her Easter Coat that grandma gave her.
She inspired me to create a couple of new product lines including the Signature Mat Collection-a photograph with a built in mat so all you have to do is frame it! See Kate’s Easter Coat and Kate’s Sweet Cheeks. Then, since mom likes black and white I came up with the Cabinet Portrait line-a modern day photograph with an antique edge! A new art center recently opened in the Mesilla Valley… a place of form and light where I have photographed often, including the image above. On a recent trip back I stumbled across a beautiful art center – Preston Contemporary Art Center featuring art displays and classes. San Jose 1/2 Marathon
Mom and I went to support my sister Barb in doing her first ever 1/2 Marathon in San Jose last October. Her goal from the beginning was to do it in under 4 hours. I almost missed her crossing over the finish line when she came across it in just under 3-1/2 hours! Whew!

Over the past five years I have developed a love affair with Poland. This is one of my favorite images taken in Krakow on the square. I hope you enjoy this little vignette of life in Poland today.
