Taste of West Seattle

The Taste of West Seattle is an annual benefit for the West Seattle Helpline. Started in 1989 the organization provides emergency assistance to neighbors in need. This particular event provided a great opportunity for some 400 ‘neighbors’ to sample the best fare from West Seattle Restaurants and caterers. This charming cake was created by the Sugar Rush Baking Company. To view all the images from the event CLICK HERE!

The Kenney Family Festival

It was a fun time for all both young and old as the Kenney celebrated ‘family’ the ol’ fashion way! Hot dogs, face painting, lawn games, beer garden, popcorn, cotton candy! Not to mention a barber shop quartet, ice cream and balloons! I was happy to be on hand to photograph the many families who wandered through the campus in search of fun! Click here for more photos.

Fauntleroy Schoolhouse Celebration

Fauntleroy Schoolhouse Celebration

Members of the community (young and old) applauded as Dr. Pierce cut the ribbon at the main entrance to the schoolhouse making the acquisition of the building into the hands of the local community official.

Addie expressed her joy below the awesome banner her mom made in honor of the occasion.

Claudine couldn’t stay away. She attended kindergarten at the Fauntleroy School and took some time to wander the halls and reminisce – happy knowing that the school will remain an active hub in her neighborhood.

Fauntleroy Fall Festival is October 18th

I love neighborhood events; especially the Fauntleroy Fall Festival.  It’s such a pleasure to watch moms and dads and their kids explore the fun activities. As part of this free neighborhood event I will be on hand to take pumkin photos on the front lawn of the schoolhouse once again!  From individuals to the entire family with the dog I’ve seen it all!  Be sure and stop by and have your complimentary souvinier photo taken this year too!  Here’s some from last year….

The Fauntleroy Neighborhood

I live and work in the Fauntleroy neighborhood so it’s only fitting that I am able to donate my services to some noble causes including the Fauntleroy Fall Festival & the Fauntleroy Community Association.

The 2009 FCA Food Fest and Annual Meeting was March 24th. Local businesses and community residents gathered for food and conversation.
