I was honored to be part of this celebration held at Endolyn’s Joe’s. Dad will be celebrating his 75th birthday so the family threw a little surprise party for him … and was he surprised to see me. While family portraits wasn’t what he was expecting we got some great shots with some great smiles. And who wouldn’t be smiling if you got an orange wheelbarrow as a gift! Happy Birthday!

Playful cousins
I’m always pleased when my brides begin to have families and include me in their life. I spent the morning at The Cove with these sweet cousins right before the 4th of July. Getting kids this young to pose for a formal photo was pretty challenging but their playful antics made for some wonderful captured moments in time. Ducks, jam and cookies are the trick!
Oh! Henry….
Parents always wonder why I don’t take time to gather information like name, address, serial number before we begin our sessions.. Answer is simple – when kids are involved the first few minutes are crucial. Henry was smiling and there was no time to waste! We got some great shots before he decided it was time for a nap…
Fall is Family Portrait time
Gretchen called and said it was not only time for her daughter’s senior photos but maybe time for a family photo as well. Again, we beat the storm and finished up our session at Lincoln Park shortly before the rains came. The light was perfect for our late afternoon session.
Last look at Alki
The Barnett family decided that since they were moving to Boston it was time to have that family photo taken on Alki. So, after packing all day long they headed to the shores of Alki for one last play date with the kids. I was happy to join them and must say we got some great images that will last a lifetime! We traversed the shoreline with the only mishap being, I got stung by a bee!
A boy and a trike
I knew I had him once he found the trike! He can back peddle better than anyone I know! Somewhat shy the trike seems to bring out the best in Rainier. Then we went for the family photo with mom and dad and the rest of the family….two dogs!
Fall Festival Families
It was another successful Fauntleroy Fall Festival. Kids of all ages enjoyed face painting, pumkin decorating, pony rides and more! Kids and families had their annual photo taken on the bales of hay. This young man’s face says it all – what fun! View all the family photos by clicking HERE.
Soccer anyone?
Looks like the family that plays together stays together! Working with the same families year after year is very exciting. You never know what kind of “phase” they will be going through at any given time when they are ready for the annual family portrait. The girls schedules are now filled with soccer games on weekends. Mom and dad sneak off to a Sounders game every now and then. Go Team Anawalt!
Family Fun with the Anawalts
I get to photograph the Anawalt family every couple of years. The girtls are growing into their personalities as you can see from these images. They certainly kept me entertained during our session and it shows! Here’s a few of my favorites plus a video!

Meet Joshua
I haven’t seen Sally and her family in about a year and a half now. She’s been busy – and I got to meet Joshua, who is four months old for the first time. We tried to do alot of imagery in a short period of time…pics of Joshua by himself (cute!), then the 3 kids together, the kids alone, the family….well, you get it! And here are the results!
